I just got my 1D Mark III (and still have my 5D Classic for the time being) and I can see myself really liking this body. I wasn't sure which I'd keep, and I'll have both for a while, but I can see myself keeping the 1DIII over the 5D now. I have to shoot more and see how the IQ compares between the 2. Looking forward to some activity on this thread.

I did notice that this thread definitely does not get nearly as much activity as the 5D Classic thread.

I still have my 5D classic as well, and find myself using it less and less... It's a really great camera, and I really love it, but the flexibility and IQ of the 1DmkIII are undeniable.

Probably right. And I'm guilty of this in my last 2 posts, but we need to see more pics! The folks in the 5D thread have a lot of friendly chatter, but there are also lots of pics.

Lots of pics are great, but it shouldnt lead to pages and pages of discussion of your lenses. That is what the lens forums are for.. IMHO

Not usually an action shooter, I had some time after jury duty today, and decided to really try out the 10fps, AF, and ISO capabilities...

How well a body "takes" certain lenses is more or less key to an entire camera system.

IMO, it's totally relevant. But I'll grant you that it can get carried away when there is an unusually large run of images from one particular lens. It can get redundant.

This camera has so many settings it can make your head spin... LOL
More to learn than all the features on a Lincoln MKS!

LOL.....funny stuff. Not funny though is I think my wife slept with him. Tiger.......give me a couple million and I'll never bring it up again, heck I'll even make sure she erases all your texts and voicemails.
