Lots wrong with this pic but it is my first day with the 1d Mark III and I had to take a pic of something other than my work construction photos and this statue happened to be close by.

I am going to love this camera

If it was inside effected serial numbers then they are going to perform an AF assembly fix on it. Other than that I can't really see what they would be able to fix for free

Mine needed an adjustment for the metering and exposure, it was about 1 stop under. Works great now!

OK, I'm now in this thread with my 1DIII, second hand, 7800ish clicks, was sent in with the original recall, not a spot of dust on it, it was sold condition as new, not a single blemish on it, and I checked really carefully, I have had one error 99, cleaned the contacts on my 50mm f/1.8 and now all is good.

Just waiting for my 24-70 to come back from the repair shop and will give it a good testing.

It really is a nice bit of kit.

Ok whats so funny about moving to this 1D is i think i now know more about my T2i

Lots to learn and set up on the camera but having fun already.

Missed an incredible bird fight (3 Hawks and a dead pigeon) because i froze and forgot to point the camera and shoot..... need to put that on my check list.

Some quick ones from today (Dog is after frisbee). Get to take a hike tomorrow with it.

Why not a 1Ds MK III? Since you mainly shoot portraits?

Price.
