no joke the 1d looks better than a t2i... obviously, it's a higher quality sensor. you can't compare a consumer grade body to a pro grade one, but what I am saying is that it's not all about resolution at web size. The sensor is obviously better, but usually, people who use a 1d body are also not using an 18-55 lens either. Not to mention the fact that if you use any EF lens, a 1.3x sensor is using more of the glass than a 1.6x sensor. The more spaced image receptors is a byproduct of a larger sensor with fewer receptors. It's not the goal...
Anyway, we're arguing semantics... To answer the original question, the quality of an image (especially one that has been resized for the web) has very little to do with the resolution of the camera it was shot on, when compared to the skill level of the photographer, the lens that was used, and the quality of the body/sensor.




Yeah, shot on different days, so different lighting. Different seasons, even.
