Tareq, nice work with the soccer shots there. Lots of great action.
Thanks, here are more from same game
The last 2 i think are cropped a lot more than first 3, wish to have 400mm and 1D4 [or 1DX for higher ISO].

Tareq "I am very lazy, a normal consumer" More info | Nov 06, 2012 05:24 | #6724 More of soccer All cropped as well, it is very rare i have shots without cropping, it seems i must shoot either wider than 300 or longer, because most actions are either very near that i can't use 300 and i don't want to zoom back by my feet, or far away the other half of the field where i need minimum 400, i don't want to use 1.4x TC on soccer, now i will see my new 70-200 mkII if it will be better use over 300. EF 300mm f2.8L IS The lens needs service, but honestly speaking, even without service this lens is out of the world, since 2007 until now this lens never disappointed me and i am very happy to have it, because of this lens i could survive not buying 400 and longer even i die for longer primes. I can't wait to get 1DX to use with 300mm in sports. Thanks for the info on the lens. Photographers do it in 1/1,000th of a second...but the memory lasts forever!

I've used the old Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 ED-IF manual focus lens on many occasions back when I shot Nikon, and that focal length/aperture is pure magic. Easily hand holdable, and great IQ! True, i don't shoot soccer without 300, i may try my new 70-200 mkII, but i know that i can't get rid of long primes, i wish to have 400 too, budget doesn't help, but 300 is a big savior for me. I heard great things about Sigma 120-300 also, not sure if i want to have that lens. Tareq........I have the Siggy 120-300 f/2.8 and can definitely recommend it if you want the usefulness of a zoom and supposedly just as sharp as the 300mm f2.8 MarkI........takes a tele converter well also Leg Breaker !! Tareq "I am very lazy, a normal consumer" More info | Nov 06, 2012 16:35 | #6730 Well, i am not in rush, it is not cheap lens, once i can have another budget in the future and i see myself shooting a lot of sports not only soccer then i will consider the siggy one, but i think i may love my new 70-200mk2 that will make me to forget about sigma 120-300 for long time.
