I am new to the club and love my 1D mark III, Looking for new glass for Christmas. The 24-70 2.8 or 135 f2 are in the running. I do a fair amount of sports in bad light, swimming, football. Links to this subject and or comments are greatly appreciated. Just do not have enough clicks on the body to know whats best. My 70-200 and 50 1.4 are smoking hot. Thanks

I was totally out of my element (I do pet photography 99% of the time), but I think it turned out decent :)

The 16-35L (I have the mkI version and am very happy with it) has smoking fast AF and very good IQ. Great for those wide shots, like under the hoop in bball.

I've got a nasty spec on mine too in a corner that I've tried getting out with air to no avail. I'm holding out until I have a break in shooting when I send the body in on my used warranty for the bad SD slot and hope they give it a sensor clean too. Otherwise, you could bring it in to a trusted local shop/send it to Canon for a sensor clean or get a sensor swab and do it your self.
