That stinks. I'm not sure what else to suggest. At least you have a workaround (-3 EC) until you either find another poster who can dig deeper, or get it to Canon. I just looked through the manual to see if there was some sort of setting that could set a baseline EC or something, and found nothing.

Please post back whatever you learn.

Thanks for your help! I've posted a thread and quoted some posts in it, will see what happens.

Awesome! Congrats! Great shot.

I shot the swim team last Thursday. I had sore legs until today from 4.5 hours of squat, stand, sprint, lay down, stand up, sprint, squat... I'll post up some of the action photos when they're processed.

I also did the team photo the same day, and it has earned $1100 so far! More out of necessity of parents to have a copy than any sort of artistic merit :P I wish I could have avoided the lens flare, but it happens every year. Maybe I should shoot it 30 minutes earlier.

Great shot, water rockets! Love the flare. Which lens did you use for this one? Settings? I may have to do this for my kids' cross country team. :)

Thanks! This was the 24-105. It was Av, set at f/8. ISO was 200. Not sure where the shutter ended up, but it was on a tripod, with a remote trigger (those cheap Yongnuo flash/shutter combo triggers are awesome).

Thanks for the info, waterrockets! Also, have you ever changed the focusing screen on the 1D3? I was thinking of purchasing the EC-D and wondering how easy/difficult it is to change the screen. :)

I haven't, but I've thought about it. I think it's about as hard as changing lenses though. (but is probably much more exciting given the implied risks :))

Just got mine today! :) After few minutes testing mark3 wins 7d at least in noise performance. Can't wait to test this camera more. This is an nice upgrade from mark IIN and it only cost me around 80 euros!! And it works just fine, just missing few rubber caps.. ;)

Here a stray that came up to me while I was waiting for some birds, very friendly cat.
