I could make it look bigger if that would help.

I am not a landscape photographer. But the 1D lll handles it nicely.

Manetta Mills textile company founded in 1896. Been empty for the last decade or so

Nothing I could do about the power lines.......

Using the 1D lll on a warm day causes one to build up a need for a banana split......

Nothing special but full of promise

We were working in the garden and the wife spotted a red tailed hawk flying into a nest. Been watching it to see if it returns. Sure enough it did. Set in nest for better part of the day. Looking for a spot (while it is not in the nest) to put my ground blind so as to not spook it while I "try" to get some photos of it later.....

Has it way in the top of the tree in the nastiest bunch of sticks and twigs. I think she did that to me on purpose;D

>> Well, I just got back from the Canon Service Center after getting the Err 30.
The answer is that it is the charging module for the shutter. With repair and shipping it back to me it came to $330.00 US

Then, because I only have 8k clicks on the shutter I got a discount, cleaning and some general maintenance for...

drumroll...

$230 :-P

Yes, it is still expensive, but my 1DMK3 will come back to me clean and repaired.

BTW, The new service center is in Costa Mesa, for those of you in SoCal.
The Center is stunning and full of things we can only dream about!

It should be home by Monday..

I was instructed that it is a combination, mechanical/electronic problem..
The capacitor on the charging module failed.

Yes, mizouse, just off the 55 fwy. Kinda at the 405-55 interchange.

Address: 123 Paularino Ave, Costa Mesa, CA 92626
Phone: (949) 753-4200

Worth the trip to see just how beautiful the new digs are and to drool over all the glass, cameras and printers on display.
Plus, I walked out with some of the educational modules.. Freeeeee.
Monday-Friday

Still expensive? Maybe, but $ 230 is considerably less than $ 330! Good news to get the camera back as new, Jo (which it already was with only 8k on the shutter!). The discount was really nice of the people at the CSC!!
