I am looking at buying a 1Gb microdrive for my G2. Are these faster (reading and writing) than the compactflash cards that operate at 24x speed?

However, even in very fast cameras they seem to have at least average performance: Canon 6D, 1DmkII, IR modified 5DII with lots of Canon L, TSE and Zeiss ZE lenses
