I have a 1DII and had been looking for a backup, so I did a lot of 5D research and came across a lot of glowing reviews for the Ee-s focusing screen for the 5D, particularly for manual focus. Now that I've gotten off the fence and picked up a 2nd 1DII instead, I'm wondering if there is such a thing for 1DII bodies? I'd like to get a better focusing screen for manual focus than the standard screen that comes with the 1DII, but don't want a split-prism or similar screens that affect evaluative metering when using the center AF point, or center-weighted for that matter. Something with a nice, coarse grain and clear transitions between in-focus and out-of-focus regions, but also not too dark. I think you can buy 3rd party treated Ee-s screens that are brighter, so something like that would be awesome. Anybody know of such a beast?
