driving me crazy... batch process CS2

I'm having a hard time doing batch process...
I have the CS2 book from Scott Kelby... I want to do batch process by making an action...

First time I made it, it works perfectly using automate>batch
but second time it doesn't save the file...

so I use script > image process and use the action
at first it works perfectly, now I'm having trouble with it...

It would say "Sorry, something major happened and I can't continue! would you like to see more info?" and when I click yes, it say
"Error: user cancelled the operation: 1548"

What's wrong... I don't want to open hundreds of picture and sharpened it one at a time... the method that I used is Lab sharpen from the kelby book... I did everything exactly as in the book... it works at first but now it doesn't.... please help

I used to get this on my old laptop. When I used a batch or script to process over 100 images, it would crash and say 'Something major happened...'

On my new PC it never happens.

I put it down to the laptop having 256mb and 1ghz processor, and the PC having a hell of a lot more.

Make sure there are no files in the source directory that aren't images.
Make sure "override open" and "override" save are checked.

Personally I rarely sharpen photos, only occasionally for customer prints. Sharpening can accentuate problems like noise, for a mild gain.

good question...i've run into this before as well, and can't figure it out. perhaps it is a processor/resource issue, as i usually have a bunch of other apps running at the same time.

as my pc goes it's pentium D 2.4ghz with 2gb memory... should be enough...

That sounds like out of disk space or out of memory. My memory of the MAC fades over time.

Search ADOBE.COM for that error code.
