Well, I am now officially the staff photographer at my place of work. Photo pass and all. :))))))))))))))))
I fixed my lens flare issues that I had from the last show I shot here. I cheated though, just shot while it was still somewhat light out so the lights didn't kill me. Let me know if I should shoot at night next time (i know not many people like day shots).

Also, after posting, I realized I have a thing for tilting the camera sideways. Whats up with that? Anyone think its ridiculous? or does it add to the composition?

Anyways....

Blue Rodeo this evening, brought a nice crowd out.

Marvelous! I think you may be leaning a little heavily on the partly rotated format but the images are good. So what else do you do there that they can spare you to shoot during performances?

BOOZE man BOOZE

lol. These shows are paid for by the alcohol and food sales (among a few other things).
We have a staff of about 30 bartenders and some other staff that cater up to 20,000 people at some shows. Its a free concert every Tuesday so theres also catering and other stuff. I asked before the shows started if i could get a 30 minute break each show to take some shots-- they loved my work and now I'm doing just photo work.

I think i find myself rotating the frame a lot to try and get other things out of the frame (mics, stands, other people/instruments). Ill have to keep an eye on that next show (Bare Naked Ladies on Saturday)

I expect the Bare Naked Ladies aren't! But I will await your images anyway. :-)

Some nice images.
Some distracting backgrounds.
Congrats on the Photopass!
