Since buying a Sigma 70-200mm I've had to buy a Slingshot 300AW as my main bag but don't really fancy carrying that whenver I go out.

Does anyone know of a holster type bag that will fit a 350D + Grip and my Sigma 17-70mm so I carry lightly when going to thinks like Weddings/parties?

All the ones I've looked at were long enough but couldn't accomodate the camera and grip.

Thanks,

Brian

No matter which bag you choose, ensure there's room for your flash. I have the 4 or 5 million dollar home and I fit my 350D with the 17-70 attached and the 430ex. so the larger one should fit fine :-)

Lowepro Photorunner..

Fits my:
350D + Grip + Sigma 17-70
28-135 IS
430EX

I take this bag everywhere with me... a bit tight with the grip, hence I don't always take the grip, but it fits...

[edit]oops, don't worry about my message if you must go for a holster, didn't notice the word "holster" before I posted.. but photorunner will pretty much do what you want also! ;)

Hi Brian

Because I do a lot of walking and scrambling, I use a Lowepro Off Trail 2 to hold my gripped 350D with a mounted 70-200L F4. My alternative lens (Tamron 28-75) sits in a secondary case which can be clipped or removed, as needed.

The gripped 350DD fits OK albeit you're probably at the max size which the bag can handle. With the mounted 70-200, it all justabout fits into the bag but there is no spare room and, if you drop it, there ain't going to be much padding between your lens and the ground

Because of this and because the bag is pretty large (although it sits on the hip quite nicely), I'm currently investigating the new Digital Holster range from Think Tank. Looks as if it will be a good 'upgrade'

Cheers
