I'm not sure if this is new or not. But I just got a notice that there's a update of Phtoshop Elements 4.0.1 for MAC. So I think this is new.

Yes, that's new. I believe that's the update needed so that ACR 4.1 works with PSE4 for the mac. Thanks for the heads up!

I'll say it again. I can not believe that Adobe is still supporting Elements with new upgrades while CS2 owners get shafted. Rediculous!

Me either for that matter. Why support PSE4 when PSE5 is out ...

I believe that support is only for the Mac version of Elements4 (since that is the latest mac version). ACR 4 is not supported in PSE4 for Windows AFIK.

Don't get TOO uptight about it though... as I say time and again, ACR for elements is kind of bare-bones, and I'm sure would disappoint many of you if you had to use it. (No camera calibration tab, for example.)

Still, it is kind of unbelievable... did PSE5 come out AFTER CS2? Perhaps by the time PSE5 came out they had a roadmap for ACR and could build in compatiblity, so maybe it is an underlying code issue in CS2 causing a problem... I don't know, I've never heard a good explanation... other than Adobe is evil... ;) Just kidding!

Makes me even happier that I didn't upgrade from elements to CS2 about 6 months ago... I would have felt REALLY screwed to find out I wouldn't get the latest ACR updates. I chose instead to go with LR for my RAW handling.
