Number 2 has to be my fav, just because of the well controlled lighting. Are you using two off camera flashes? Computers blur the boundaries... Jun 14, 2007 11:31 | #5 For this race, there was so much ambient light and great sky color I chose to go with only one flash. I set up my 580 remote flash with battery pack on a full size tripod to keep it from tipping. I set it up on the side of the berm facing back at the rider at an angle between 45-90* to the rider as they passed. Dave

Cheers for the quick bit about your flash location! it does look like a lovely day, better weather than most UK mountain bike races! Computers blur the boundaries... Jun 15, 2007 09:36 | #13 LOL, I bet. It was much better than most races I've been too. Generally they are in the woods and you are doing everything you can to keep the background while making the rider pop just a little. Dave
