Space was pretty tight for this one. Hopefully a bit more sweat and/or tears than my last set...still no blood though, well, that I know of anyway. I've been leaning on the B&W crutch pretty hard lately.

8. Snapped this after I packed up and was getting ready to head downstairs and have a drink. He walked out into the audience and made everyone sit down...interesting.

#8 is great.
I very much like the drummer shot, and #3 is nice as well...

Ah, Jessie Malin. Kudos to you for getting some nice captures here. As I mentioned via PM, Jessie has one of those faces that crunches in odd ways and I, literally, have a hundred otherwise great shots that his face has made difficult to use.

I like 8, 6, 4 and 3.

I also understand the tight space comment. I recently shot his CD release party in NYC and it was wall-to-wall people and very tough to move around for angles and shooting lanes.

I know what you mean, I have quite a few of those too. I probably took 10-15 tight headshots like #3, and that is the only one that I would consider using.;)

Yep. He is such an emotive performer and I guess that comes with the territory. I have a recent shot that an editor would have used for a magazine cover...but for the face of Jesse. You win some, you lose some.

Still, I love the guy. Again, nice job.

I too like your drummer shot. I find the water bottle a little distracting though. If you have a keen cloning eye you could remove it. If you agree with my thoughts of course.

Yeah, I agree with you, but I don't think my cloning eye is quite that keen. I may have to give it a try sometime...if I ever get caught up with my processing.

Like that'll ever happen :D

It is like walking slowly down an escalator that goes up. You just don't get there.

If you want to email it to me i can have a go for you.
