Hi all,

Attached is a classic Chevy I shot on Tuesday evening when I was hanging out with Frank C. Let me know what you think: C&C definitely appreciated!

I've got some '57 Chevy photos that I'll put up here as soon as I have time to do a little work in PS with them....

Regards,
Greg

Definitely! And thanks for saying, "hey, go shoot that car over there. It will look good in this light." :)

Frank, BTW, do you know what model / model year this is?

"hey, go shoot that car over there. It will look good in this light."

:D I keep telling these guys, "This sh*t ain't that hard"? But NOooo!, they have to shoot in garages? ;) OK, so there's more than one way to do it, but I'd try to make them look good first, & then experiment with other ways.

do you know what model / model year this is

Nope. Got a shot of the license plate? Or ask the owner is the only way I would know.

I'm going out of town. Have fun this weekend & find some more.

I'm gonna google around and see if I can find out what it is. I'll remember the license plate trick in the future... :)

Frank, ya got me hooked...I'll definitely be shooting more soon! In the meantime, I'll put the '57 Chevy pics up this weekend.

Thanks for showing me the ropes and helping me understand what it takes to shoot these babies...

Have a great weekend,
Greg

Nice head on shot, my only suggest is to pull back just a bit more and get the tires in. It's a prime shot for sky (and background) replacement with very little work to isolate the car.

Erik,

You're absolutely right, and I agree with you. I wasn't paying close enough attention when I took this and the original was too tight and a bit askew. So, when I rotated it, I also needed to crop the bottom of the tires.

Thanks for the comments!!

Greg

True, but in Michigan (with our automotive history), about 99% of them have "Classic Car" plates, and the first two digits of the license plate match the model year of the car. AS a result, it just takes a quick look at the plate to know what year the car came out.

Helpful, no?? ;)
