Wow! Just watched my first episode of that show last night on PBS. He traveled to India and was taking pictures on the Gangis river in India. Pretty impressive stuff there and a lot of good ideas and a few good pointers (i've heard he gives more advice/pointers in other episodes). Beautiful images and awesome gear of course. Seems like everywhere you turn theres an award winning picture to be taken.

I do! (didn't see India, our PBS station had their beg-a-thon last weekend)

Love his show - he has his gear list online and I ran it through B&H - $25K worth of gear, and that doesn't even include tent and sleeping bag!

Good stuff for sure. Seattle native too! Art takes great images and it's neat to see it captured on TV. I couldn't find his gear list but it looked like a 1dmarkII or IIn and at one point what looked like a 200 1.8?

That is his gear list for the South Georgia episode - I am sure he takes most of it elsewhere as well...

What I like about him (other than the great shots and locations) is his personality. He isn't boring or too stuck-up.

Caught the Bolivian episode. Entertaining as well as insightful. Made me think that in a past life I was a TV cameraman and would kneel, squat, sit, etc to get the shot, I find myself staying mostly upright with an SLR. I have the series set to record on the DDR.

The local PBS station in Baltimore does not have this show listed. Looked through Tivo no show coming in the next 2 weeks. I guess the local PBS did not pick it up, even though the web site says it was suppose to start last week!:(
Hopefully they will pop up later in the summer or on the net somewhere.

Thanks, Paul
