Can someone help me? I shot some pics in RAW last night, and viewed them in PSP-I can't figure out how to download them to my smugmug account, do they need to be converted to JPEG first? If so, how do I do that? I am so new to all of this and getting very frustrated! I am really tempted to switch back to shooting in JPEG. Thanks in advance for the help!
Rebecca

Your RAW files need to be converted to jpeg for uploading to SmugMug. But I am not familiar with PSP to tell you how, sorry.

All you have to do, after you open the file and make any changes you like, is use Save As..., then select JPG JPEG in the "Save as type:" drop down.

Although I use PSP all the time, I use Canon's DPP to convert my RAW files to JPEG. I didn't care for the color rendition of PSP's converter when I first started using RAW, and I've never looked back. I use PSP X; don't know how well PSP XI might work.

Hope this helps, Rebecca.

In DPP, for individual pictures, you can go to File/Convert and save... In the dialog box, select "Exif-JPEG" from the Save as file type drop down. You can also set image quality, output resolution, and resize right there. You can also select several pictures and do all of them at once using the batch process. Select all the pictures you want to convert and clock on the Batch Process button, or go to File/Batch process... Go through all the sections of the right side of the dialog box and make you setting.

If you find yourself getting into using DPP, I suggest downloading and reading the Users' Guide. It's not great, but it does show how to do all this stuff.

Rebecca -
In DPP's File menu there are three choices - Save, Save As, and Convert and Save - which can be confusing. You want Convert and Save.
