well I have weakened and the other day I went and got me a 300D and the infamous 70-200 f/4L you folks talked me into lol, still kept my G3 though. All I have to do now is learn how to use it. Any one can press the shutter button but when and where .. well there's the fun I guess in finding out. ... now I want the 1.4x extender.. does it ever end??? :D

Actually, the 70-200/4 is one of the less infamous Canon lenses ... there's still plenty of room for you to spend iven more money

Best regards,
Andy

HA! Sounds just like me - 300D, 70-200f/4L, and my 1.4x teleconverter just showed up yesterday. :)

Don't forget to pick up one of those FANTASTIC and inexpensive 50mm f/1.8 II's!

Ah, yes, I knew exactly what the problem was as soon as I've read the topic. An early stage of eLitis.

5D and holy trinity of primes. Now the 90mm TS-E TS-E fly bit me. I hate these forums.

Probably not :D

You may also want to take a look at one of the extension tubes. Makes the 70-200 f4.0L a nice "macro" lens from 8' out. Of course, you can use it with other lenses as well.

Of course it does end.

I should be perfectly fine and completely satisfied once I'll buy 14, 16-35, 24-70, 70-200 2.8 IS, 85 1.2, 135 2.0, and 100-400 ;)

it's still a very long way for me, since I have non of the above ;)

at the time I joined this forum I had just started on a job.... Now I'm still poor.

But I have a DRebel and 3 lenses, tripod, monopod, printer(getting today), and many more to come. lol
I have forcasted my expenses to be approximately equal to my income for the next year or so. Thankfully, I have a family that feeds me...

After owning a g3 for a year, I decided to move over to a dslr kidding myself that I'd be saving money by using the old lenses from my canon 50E. First purchase was the 10D , then the L got hold and I bought a 17-40L. Then a 50 f1.8 ( big money saving ), but then in a moment of weakness I succumbed to the 100-400L IS - arrgh my wallet is sooo empty

1dmkII - 5d gripped - 24-70f2.8L 70-200f2.8L 100-400L 17-40L - 28-75di - 580exII - 85 f1.2L - 50e
