Hi, I don't normally post in this area and I am looking for comments on a couple of photos I have taken of a friend of mine. This is really my first time in take portrait photography and I would like some honest options on my first go :)

thanks, the location is a beach just 30mins away from where I live. it may not look like it but the day wasn't the warmest. who says you can't shoot when there isn't a cloud in the sky :)

First one is best..but have you played with the levels any? I'd liked to see the midrange lightened a bit.

If I lived in NZ, I would be shooting all of the time. You have the most gorgeous scenery. I like both shots but the first is my favorite.
