The large version does do this shot more justice.
I appreciate the comment HB. I should have had the 70-200 on for this shot which was taken from the Semphore jetty for this angle.

Framing higher and a soft GND on the sky would have helped too. Or frame lower if there is some interest on the ground as the sky is not that interesting.
