Ok I just read somewhere on here that beach camera and buydig are the same company. So why is it that one is higher on some products than others?
Beachcamera is higher on one model of camera than buydig. Whats up wit dat?
Has anyone had any bad or good experiences with buydig?
Feedback needed, gonna drop some money on a new camera soon.:D:D

It is very common for a few different stores to fall under one big umbrella company like Macy's and Bloomingdales (both belong to Federated Stores, along with some others) Usually these stores were at one point seperate entities, and when they got picked up by the father-company, they kept seperate purchasing and merchandising departments so while they buy some of the same products at the same prices, they will sell them at different prices depending on their merchandising plan. I have never even heard of buydig. I have heard a little about Beach (some good, some bad). I picked up my stuff from Amazon, and while I had a decent experience with them, I will probably make most of my purchases from now on from B&H. From what I have seen, their prices are right in line with most everyone, and they have a huge following of happy customers (Rare to see more positive than negative comments on-line about a retail outlet as people are more prone to complain about problems than to praise a job well done). If you are talking about saving 20 bucks on a $900 purchase, I will go with the established place everytime.

Bought stuff from Beach Camera with no probs. Called them and they were cool. The salesman said Abe's of Maine was owned by his brother-in-law. I assumed the salesman was the owner of Beach.

I bought $2K of film gear from Beach Camera many moons ago. They handled an exchange very well when I ordered a wrong lens. My coworker picked up his D200 and 70-200 2.8 VR from Buydig. He swears by that company. However...I believe both companies' return policies aren't as good as B&H. I believe they have a 10% restocking fee on opened and non-opened merchandise. You may want to double check that.

I just bought a Canon Rebel XT from BeachCamera. They're located in NJ and I'm in NY. The camera came to my doorstep within 2 days of purchase. Very happy with the package and their deal.

I just bought a 30d from them a few weeks ago and had no issue at all. Got the camera very quickly and without issue.

BTW, ordered from Beach camera since at the time beach was cheaper for the 30d :)
