RAW Conversion for Mark II

I just realized that my Mark II snowball hasn't stopped growing yet. Along with the larger CF cards, I also need to get a new RAW converter (since C1 LE doesn't support the camera).

Has anyone tried Breezebrowser? I like C1 a lot, but before plunking down the $99, I was wondering if anyone has compared the quality of C1 and Breezebrowser conversions of Mark II RAW files. Breezebrowser is $50 less, but I'm more concerned about image quality and workflow; financially, I'm already ruined anyway. :D

Thanks.

Mike H

I don't think BB supports RAW conversion fo the MkII yet.. (unlees a new release has just come out)?

I did download what was he latest BB th day I got my MkII and that version will "browse" MkII .cr2 files.. but it will not convert them..

It also has a weird feature for the .cr2 files.. it will extract a 1/2 size jpeg from the .cr2 file!?

But agin.. it will not do a conversion...

I type this.. then I am going to go to BB's site probably only to find out that there is a newer version allready...

Nope still no conversion...

The latest version is what I have.. 2.9

New in BreezeBrowser v2.9

Canon EOS-1D Mark II support:
- view CR2 raw files and JPEGs complete with shooting data and optional focus point overlay
- edit IPTC data in CR2 raw files
- extract embedded JPEGs from CR2 raw files (1536x1024 pixels) for fast web page generation and proofs

When I read "Mark II Support" I assumed it menat REAL support too.. but thus far.. nope ! :) ?!

Thanks, CDS! You just saved me some money. :D

It looks like I'm headed for the LE-SE upgrade in the next couple of hours. Hopefully, the SE version isn't one of those "really, it's not a BETA version" programs.
