Can anyone point me in the right direction to finding the focus points in this software please??(30 D)

I used to have the facility when using the 300D software - you could view pic and see the focus points illuminated in red.

Thanks

With the 20D I use the ZoomBrowser EX, not DPP, to access the focal points. I assume the 30D would be similar.

With the image open go to 'view', and select 'Auto Focus Points'

i believe this is correct. That said, I avoid canon software like the plague.

Yes it's in ZoomBrowser... However if you use the centre AF point to gain autofocus, and then with the shutter half pressed recompose the shot, the information given is inaccurate... It will show the centre point in the centre of the image as the point of focus when it really isn't... This can lead to people in to thinking their lenses are back or front focusing because they have moved the point of focus since the shutter button was half pressed...

Thanks for replies folks.
I'll have to check it out when I get more time - Took a load of whippet racing pics yesterday, and They all turned up out of focus, and want to see where the thing was actually focussing on.
(Both 17 -85, and 70 -300 did the same - on "sports" mode, and on Shutter priority.
Grrrrrr)

Use only the center point and it will focus where you tell it to.
