I think i'm hooked on this digital painting.. i've done about 4 now since yesterday. I can only improve with practice;)
This one has about 3.5 hours invested and although i am sure it could be better i am still very happy with it. I Definately need a wacom tablet ... would make life much easier for this type of work. I hate to imagine how many mouse clicks this took!
Your comments are most appreciated.
Nic

Wow, really like this and what you have done. Very impressive! Not sure about the nose though, kind of spoils the colours in the scene, what do you think?

Would you mind pointing me to an on-line tutorial you have been using or some ideas please?

Thanks Rammy... yeah the nose i forgot to crop sorry...thanks for looking..
use the smudge brush.. and do little or larger strokes. You use burning etc to help with colours..
i need to see where i saw the tutorial and come back and post it here

Aside from the nose, I would like to see the eyes looking more realistic. I assume you started with a photo? Maybe if they were less white and you could see the features of the iris.
Otherwise, I really like it.:)

I agree -- no nose, more realistic eyes -- but over all really nice!

Very nice treatment. (Well, except for the nose... ), but that has been said before. I wouln't even attempt this with out a tablet, cuz once you have one, you'll never go back!

I bet that took an insane amount of mouse clicks! Very worth it when you see results like this though.
