In the 'Develop' Module:

I have just been watching a video tutorial on LightRoom where the presenter tells of a trick to 'double click' on a slider knob and it should return the changes to 'zero' or rather, to 'default' value, e.g. default for 'brightness' is +50 and if you double click after making alterations, it should 'jump' to +50. Not just anywhere on the slider, but on the 'knob' on the slider itself, you know the thing on the slider that looks like a light grey tear drop (well, hmm... hope that description makes sense...)

But when I double click the slider knob nothing happens and they are NOT returned to 'default'. I am using on a PC, but in the video tutorial they are using a MAC. I could not find an option for this in the preferences.

Just a note : The benefit of this trick is that you can make some alterations, then double click the slider knob (neutral) and then not move the mouse pointer, so that when you click once again on the slider it should take to to the last edited position, e.g. boosted saturation. This will give a quick before and after comparison for that particular slider.

Does this double click option work for other users on PC or MAC?

The double click works on a PC, but I don't believe this is true for ALL sliders. For instance I found that this did not work in the HSL section, but it works fine in the Basic section, IIRC.

On another note you can also press ALT and some of the sections can be reset without reseting the entire photo. :)

Ah, I just found it, if I hold CTRL and double click, this resets the value to the 'neutral' - although I did not hear him say that in the video....
Thanks for your reply also Mike, I just found more useful keyboard commands due to it.

I'll have to check that out as well. Thanks for posting.
