I have a SanDisk Ultra II 2.0 GB. Isn't that supposed to be a decent card?

Horror movie? Ok, don't creep me out.

Karen

Yes they are, if they are in fact REAL SanDisk cards. Where did you purchase the card?

I do not believe this is the card. As you would be able to tell digital artifacts. I'm with swimchic, it looks like it is red-eye removal. As this part of the eye does tend to have some amount of red and this could be fooling the software in the camera.

Red eye. That's it! That must be it. The red eye checker must be on a default setting. Sometimes when I have a lot of head shots it kicks in and searches for red eye to remove. I don't want to have it search for red eye, become impatient, and "cancel" the action. Maybe it's when I cancel that this happens to the picture that was being checked at that moment. That makes so much sense. And that might be why it happens to just one photo. Great job and thanks to all the sleuths.

Oh, and these were all RAW.

Good to hear... yeah when she mentioned the red-eye I had a feeling that's what it was(marks being only near eyes is a giveaway.) If it had been a card problem, you'd imagine the darkspots should've been more random than that.
