I have 6 Raw pix I'm working with in LR. I can make changes copy and paste the changes to pictures 1 by 1.

is there a way to apply all the changes to the pictures at one time?

Two ways:

The fast way - edit one picture, and highlite all of them, and select Sync at bottom right of screen.

Slow way - edit one picture, In Develop Mode, select Copy, select the attributes you wish to copy, and then select the next picture, and do Copy, Paste Settings.

EDIT: When you use Sync, everthing you've done to the original will be copied to ALL the other images.

When you use Develop/Copy/Paste, you can select any or all attributes to paste to the second image - this is useful if you've done cropping on one, and don't want to crop the next image (for example). I tend to use this method more so I can select the attributes I wish.

With DEVELOP/COPY/PASTE, you can paste the attributes to multiple images. Go back to libary mode, highlight all the images you want, then use paste.

( windows version) In develop mode, <Shift><Ctrl>C is copy
G gets you back to libary mode.
<Shift><Ctrl>P is paste.

Or hold down Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) which hitting the Sync button turns it into AutoSync.

Whenever AutoSync is turned on, and you have multiple images selected, any changes you make to the current photograph also apply to the other selected images, just as having multiple images selected in ACR does.
