Here's a photo I snapped this weekend while visiting Timberline Lodge up on Mt. Hood.

This photo was taken with my 1D/17-35 f/2.8L combo at 17mm, mode=Av priority, Av=f/2.8, Tv=1/160, ISO=800, no flash. Post processed and b&w conversion via Aperture. I applied a light sepia tone to the photo.

Very well done. Likewise on the lighting.

2 Samuel 9:7-8, "So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.” Then he bowed himself, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?”

Both are very nice moody photos. Very atmospheric. It's very calming, almost eerie to look at them..

Nice job! I like them both, but #1 is my favorite.

All I can say is great shots. Love the first one. Toning down the light from the door might be nice, but still a great shot.
