I just realized that i can download mask layers and brushes for elements but i can't use them because when i try to unzip them it opens it up in photoshop. Im new at the photoshop thing so any help would be appreciated. If you don't know the answer to that can you please explain in extreme detail how to do skin in elements 5.0. So far everybody has told me in cs2 or others but not 5.0.

Can't you unzip the files and save them somewhere, then load them from inside Elements? Sorry, I'm not really familiar with Elements.

Whatever works for you for skin enhancement in Photoshop should also work in Elements. There's no magic formula for skin, sadly.

Thanks but i can't unzip them. I don't even have the option for some reason. Elements is a little different such as it doesn't have the layer mask, history tool and a few other things that everybody keeps telling me to use. I can load them in elements if I can figure out how to unzip them.

Elements doesn't support action and scripts written for regular Photoshop. That is one of it's draw backs.

I have PSE 5.0 and I DL Graffi's Handy elements actions 2.0. It's a pack of actions that includes layer masks that work inside PSE.

You can find it here:

It is version 2.5 now.
