This is two is from a first shoot I did - I need some C&C.

I'm planning to get my hobby to pay for it self - but I'm honestly not sure if I can actually have such a cheek as to charge for my shoots.

I'm not that worried about the technical lay out of the pic, I'm looking into shooting pix that parents will love.

The first pic has alot of 'dead space' - but I quite like the lay out.

Second pic I find the hand in front covering part of the mouth a bit destracting.

Did you use the channel mixer to do this b/w conversion? It looks like there is too much of the blue channel which is making the complexion look mottled.

I agree with you. I prefer the first pic over the second, and yes, the hand in #2 is distracting. Now, tie his hands so they stop messing with the picture! 8)

Yes, the skin tones look dark to me also... Maybe you can post the originals and let us play...?

Cute little guy though.

I like the first shot in comparisonto the second one. But the way you made the eyes pop!! I love your conversion for the balck and white...but the second one does have mottled skin tones...

Thanks guys - I actually just desaturated and played with the levels.

I'll post the originals from home tonight - don't have them with me now.
