I did it, yet the old me (before I got into photography) has spoke his subconsious voice and has brought it to the forefront of thought.

Pre Photog me, aka P2-m
Current Photog me, aka CP-m

P2-m: " I cant believe I/you just spent $2500+ on a camera."
CP-m: "Its well justified, I worked and saved for it, I spend it how I like."
P2-m: "Yeah but how much do you like Ramon noodles? You're going to be eating alot of them."
CP-m: "I like them just fine, I can live with that for a few months."
P2-m: "Well I wont *storms into the other room*

He's just jealous people, he thinks I dont give him any attention.

I just pulled the trigger on the 5D, and coupled with the 24-70L I already have I believe it will make a nice duo!!!!

*gets dust blower ready for the infamous "5D dirty sensor" preparation*

Hmmmm, maybe you'd better start saving for some therapy too :) Looks like you'll be eating Ramen for quite a while. ......:) :)

Congrats on the purchase.

5D & 24-70 is a great combo! If I could only have 1 body & 1 lens, this would be it. :) Enjoy!

Sweet, cant wait. It was about $100 or so cheaper than B&H, I was gonna use that extra cash to get a battery grip but I think Ill wait until it gets here, I know it has a better feel than the XT + grip.

That's a nice combo ... I personally think the 5D is the best 'all round' camera £4£ that Canon make.

I had the oppertunity to get a mkII for a lil over $2300 w/ less than 7k worth of clicks but its just not what i need.

EDIT: Anyone get so excited they would do something kind out of the ordinary for another person?
I mean I am now because of the 5D, the thought went through my mind that if anyone wanted the mkII, send me the money and Ill pick it up for them...lo.
