Canon PowerShot A75 Purple Vertical line in LCD

Hi, when I try to take shots in certain lightings, like some street lights at the light pole at night, I can see a few purple vertical lines appeared from top to the bottom of the LCD around the light source when viewing the objects. The purple vertical lines are quite obvious and bright and it's kind of annoying.

Further, it seems that the refresh rate of the LCD decreases quite a bit when the shutter button is half-pressed at the "ready to shot" stage.

Are the above two phenomenons seem normal to any Canon A75 users? Thanks a lot.

On my A60 I have purple lines in low light too. I don't know what causes them but I am sure that someone here does. I am noy sure about the refresh rate? It is the same all the time on my A60.

In the A75 manual, they say it's normal. Well, not abnormal.
