If you live in CT, NY, PA, OR, WA, ME, MI, or DC, beware of this highly toxic plant. It's about 4' tall in the first shot, but can grow to 15'! The sap can cause severe skin damage and blindness.

No, I didn't come in contact with it. It was in with some other weeds and a hard place to get to if I wanted to. I didn't know it was poisonous then, but I do now. :)

We have it in the UK also... Giant Hogweed, quite abundant

There used to be 12' plants growing along the River Tay not far from here.

However a Doctor told me that the sap in itself is not an irritant,but it reduces the skins resistance to UV light, causing irritaion and burning..
