Uh, I think my lens is soft.

Just kidding.

The photo below was captured tonight. It is pulled back 4 full stops in RAW, original exposure was f/2.8 10" on a 1DMKIIN + 24-70 L.

Are the rings/colors from the lens?

And on another note, I realize smuggy couldn't do what I can in CS3, but it really seems to do some harm to some photos when creating downsized JPGs for display; e.g. that photo above is amazing at full size.
