We spent a day driving through the Dolomites and unfortunately it rained almost the entire time. I did manage to get a few shots and I think this is my favorite.

I would love to hear your comments/criticisms.

Thanks,

Tim

Often rain is a good thing, even for photography. Great capture here, Tim. Looks like you blew the fog and clouds back from the church, then snapped the shutter. Love the composition with the church in the lower left third. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice indeed. Sometimes you get some very interesting images on days like this. I love the way every time my eye wants to wander that strong diagonal ridge line pulls it right back to the church. Nice image...
Thats northern Italy, right?

Marty - Thanks for the kind comments. That kind of weather does make for some interesting photos, but it kind of kills the sightseeing.

Airfrogusmc - Yes, the Dolomites are part of the Italian Alps, basically north-northwest of Venice.

Tim, I love this. The lighting on the church is wonderful and contrasts perfectly with the misty, foggy background. Excellent composition as well. Very well done.

Nice shot and composition.

2 Samuel 9:7-8, "So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.” Then he bowed himself, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?”

Very nice image. The fog/clouds in the background really add to it.
