My mkIIn lens mount seems to have broken. The little silver nodule that is moved up and down by the lens removal button has become stuck down, so lenses won't fix into place.

Does anyone have any ideas for how to fix this? I'm trying to remove the silver surround, but the screws make it impossible as they're so tight.

Is there a Canon service center nearby?

Actually, the problem happened whilst I was shooting at Silverstone! Pictures to follow.

Problem solved though, a few taps with a coin around the pin popped it out and a dash of WD40 in the slot smoothed it out! Fingers crossed that it won't happen again at the MotoGP!

Good fun, a dodgy lens mount forced an early end though.
