And I am so excited. I walked into B&H photo today and bought the EF-S 17-55 F2.8 IS. I am happy to report not one speck of dust. Now I am impatiently waiting to go home and try this puppy out. Considering I have been shooting with the kit lens I am really looking forward to the results. More so the weather this weekend is looking good. Happy picked up a polarizer as well! Geeezzzz, photography is expensive.

You don't know the half of it. I've dropped 12K in less than four years.

And congrats on the new lens. I got a deal on one from a pro wedding photog who went full frame and have been extremely pleased with the results.

I recently purchased one for a vacation out west. It's a fantastic lens. Unfortunately, it's already sucked up some dust. Disappointing, but I guess I have to live with it.

I've had the lens for about 6 months now and don't regret getting it. Hope you bought the hood for it as well. Will be going to China at week's end and plan to shot thousands of photos with it. No dust with my lens, try getting a UV filter.

Congrats~!

You will love that lens. :)
I know I did.
I eventually got rid of it.. due to the love for prime lenses.

I thought I missed UPS at the end of the day today, but it turned out that it was delivered in the morning and no one told me about it. I've only taken a few pictures with my new 17-55 IS, but the one I took of a lily was spectacular and the bokeh at 2.8 was real nice!!
