Remove Dust/Dirt from Scan

Just got back from the local Cord Camera. I got an old 5x7 scanned. It turned out pretty crappy. It's a small jpeg and I think the picture must have surface dirt that looks like dust in the scan.

Anyone hear have any PS tricks? - Edits welcome.

I have CS2 so if you can also tell me a little about your process it would be helpful.

Also... any idea's quick, non-destructive ways to clean the surface of an irreplaceable film print?

I kind of feel like an idiot sinceI found the answer rather easily using PS help. I knew I had seen something about dust removal before but never had to use it.

This was a quick edit. Yours are still welcome.

Scan it first just in case? Then try a film cleaner on it.
