So I got a bag for my 30D, and with the lenses etc, the camera will only fit in it sideways (seperated by padding of course). Will this do harm to the camera by turning it on its side to fit in the bag?

Might want to make sure that the pop up flash is pointed in the direction of least pressure. I have never had one break, but I do store them LCD screen down so the pop up can be pressed against the outside of the bag. I make sure that it always points into the bag presenting the camera base at a target incase something bumps the bag hard. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
