So I just received an email from Digital Foto that has me kind of freaked out. It is regards to an order that I never placed, and it dose not tell me what I ordered.

From: F.C., Inc. s@digitalfotoclub.com (external link)
Sent: 06/21/2007 03:13PM
To: CHRISTIANA JUNGMANN
Subject: Your Package: 3772793

Dear CHRISTIANA JUNGMANN,

Your package has been processed and shipped on 06/21/2007 to:

CHRISTIANA JUNGMANN
XXXX XXXXX XX
MCHENRY, IL 60050-5131

using First Class.

The tracking number for your package is: 9101147996417001137603 which you can track on our web
site at http://www.postaltracking.com …?n=9101147996417001137603 (external link).

Thank you for your business!

This e-mail and your package have been produced with 'Postal Package Partner' from Window Book, Inc.

Go to www.postalpackagepartner.com (external link) or www.windowbook.com (external link) to learn more.

I have never ordered anything from this company before nor did I ever plan to. I have just recently ordered things from Amazon (supplied by 47th and Ace) and SterlingTEK. SterlingTEK would be sending me my batteries directly not through this other company right? I am going to check all of my accounts to make sure that I have no strange charges but any ideas, this happen to anyone else.:(

I bought a BG-E2 grip for my 30D through Digital Foto Club without any issues.

You should definitely contact them directly and ask them about using the order number to make sure it wasn't linked to Amazon order. If it was some mistake, they'll probably just tell you to tell USPS to return the package to sender (don't open it).

I believe Digitalfotoclub.com and Ace Digital (through Amazon) are one and the same shop. Though it worries me that their tracking page is mostly an ad for an MLM pyramid scheme scam.

I am going to call them as soon as I can. It is strange because the way you track the packages on the site is by your email and zip code and I entered mine to see what it is that they were sending and it said that there is no information linked to my email and I would have to register my email inorder to order anything.

I really do hope that you are right and that was the same reaction that I had to that tracking website. It is pretty sad how paranoid you really need to be with identiy theft.

I will let you know what happens with the phone call. Thanks for the support.

When I ordered through the web site, it asked me if I wanted to register or if I wanted to order without registering. I did it without registering because I was thinking this was probably a one-time purchase. What it didn't tell me was that if I didn't register, I wouldn't have been able to check the status of my order through their order status page.

This is probably what is happening to your order since it was done through a third-party site.

I am sorry I freaked out about nothing. They are sending me what I ordered from Ace, which is just strange.

No worries. Yeah, the name difference is odd. I wonder if they do that just so people don't compare the Amazon and Digitalfotoclub.com prices and pick the cheaper one (I've saved myself a couple bucks here and there doing that).
