DPP and Photoshop - different image quality?

I've noticed that when I have finished adjusting in DPP, and then use the "transfer to photoshop" tool, that the image looks darker. Is this normal or have I got something wrong in the settings? Here's a screen shot to try and show the difference:

I do not use DPP, so I can't help there...

But you could try comparing the colour profiles in both programs side by side. Look to see that you're using the same working colour space and the software isn't converting from one profile to another by switching programs.

My experience is almost the same, photoshop looks just a bit darker, but alot less noise...

Check also that DPP Preferences is set to the monitor profile used as your system default (PS does this automatically).
