Why is that? Is TIF a better format than PSD when editing in Photoshop? I like that Tif files get a preview in Explorer, but it just seems to make sense that Photoshops own format would be the nest, lossless format to use when editing. Observations or comments? Canon 40D w/grip, 85mm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.8, 20k lumen studio fluorescent DIY light kit, 2 strobe studio kit, 580exII, PW's.

The only time I work with Tiff files is when I'm using DPP to convert my raw files. Once brought into PS, they'll get converted to PSD and the TIFF files deleted. For the same image, PDS files are about half the size of TIFF files. ...Leo

Jun 22, 2007 17:48 | #3 Flattened Tif aren't bad in size, but the thumbnail-in-Explorer things is actually pretty nice. And Tif is a slightly more versatile format for sharing.
