You should definitely read this, which has a better explanation of custom functions and autofocus settings than the manual:

:P Yeah thanks man. You've kept me up late every night this week :P I can't wait till you go back to work, so I can get sleep again. Spent all this week and last looking for that darn camera.

Thanks Andrew. CF4 was the first thing I set, as my 20D is set like that. I'll be doing a ton more reading. The original owner didn't even touch the manual. It was in mint condition, zero creases. By the time I'm done with it, it'll look like a adult magazine in a library :P

At work today, and probably won't get to really play around with the camera till this weekend. Right now I have it placed on my desk as a nice toy to look at.

My big decision now is to sell the 17-55. :( Too bad it wasn't EF! Arg. So do I go 16-35 or 24-105? 17mm was almost perfect on my 20D. I'm thinking that 24 may slightly hold me back, however the zoom is really nice. My ideal setup for weddings is gonna have a 70-200 on my 20D, and a wide on my 1D.

Also I noticed the firmware was probably never upgraded. Is this is must on this camera. I think I recall it saying 1.0.2

The 17-40L is a great lens on the 1D and it is also weatherproof.

Agree it is. Both the 16-35 and 24-105 are also weatherproof as they are L lens as well. However I need a lens that can work in low light, as I shoot weddings.

the 24-105 is f/4, but has IS. the 16-35 is 2.8. the 17-40 is F/4 no IS. If only they made a new version which had IS (2.8 would also be nice), like my 17-55, I'd be laughing.

But of course! See definition below:

3. feeling sexy: sexually excited, or easily aroused sexually ( slang ).

Don't worry, you'll get the same feeling when you upgrade from a 5D to a 1D :P
