Ok, got a 100-400 L yesterday and then combined it with a 1.4X Canon Teleconverter and did something I always wanted to but never had long enough glass for, shoot the moon.

I know it's not the best moon, but when you've wanted to do this for so long, you want to share...I'm still learning the 100-400L so I fully expect better results in the future.

Any suggestions you Moon experts can give me I'd love to hear them

C&C Is always welcome and needed

WOW! What more is there to say? The moon's never looked so clear. Congrats. I'm thinking of buying that lens sometime in the future, but I never get good moon shots. We have too many trees here.

My suggestion is to crop it more so the moon is way bigger. It looks nice and sharp.
