I have recently started have a problem with PS Elements. When I try to change files in the editor program the harddisk just spins and a spins but no file appears. I have to control-alt-del to get out of the program to regain control of the machine. The problem does not occur in DPP when I try to change files. The files are still there on the disk and can be accessed with DPP or windows. Any ideas what has happened?

I have no idea why this would happen maybe corrupt program files? Have you tried re-booting your computer? If the problem continues I would recommend uninstalling then reinstalling ps elements.
