I may be wrong but I was told that the XTI and 30D have prety much the same sensor and software.

Image processing software is about the same in quality, but faster in the 30D. The 30D has 8.2MP and XTI is 10.1MP, so not the same sensor at all.

Everything on here so far until I get time to get it updated was from my rebel xti, with EF 28-80 f3.5-5.6 USM and EF 35-105 f3.5-4.5 lenses and some with a 420EX flash. I soon will update it with the new 50mm f1.8 II lens.
Here is some things that you cant see on my site, but have a look. Just look for all posts by The Fox. (external link)

I don't really have anything worth contributing yet, but since this is an XTi thread I have a question.

Is there a way to use the flash to assist a/f in low light but NOT fire for the picture? How?

Thanks.

There is definatly some inspiration to become better in this thread!!

pop up the flash and use the * button.

These are probably some of my best shots so far (unfortunatly this is my first DSLR and I have not had it for very long. Still learning new things everyday). Also, I did not pick up my Circular polarizer until a week after this event: Ferrari Festival @ Le Circuit in Mont Tremblant, QC.

The picture quality seems to be reduced quite a bit after the upload to Flickr, very strange, the original files on my Comp look MUCH better.

Were you shooting adobe rgb or srgb. That might explain the differences you see.

I hope that the Warthog didn't damage the optics in your Tamron lens.

I just signed up and wanted to say Hi, by sharing a few of my shots. If these are too large, I can resize them. (What is the allowable size as I didn't see it in the rules?) Anyways, the pictures.

Ok, that's all I really feel like posting now lol. Most were taken with the stock lens (18-55mm) except for the flower ones, which were taken with my 50mm Canon Macro lens.
