Noise Question...

Maybe My eye has gotten more keen to it. But I recently noticed more noise lately on my pics.
ie..
ISO 200
1/640 sec
F2.8
34mm

This pic is JPG off the camera, No PP other than resize was done to it..

I guess in other words, I find that I run "neat image" on almost every pic I PP... Is this normal? Some pics dont need it as much as most of them..

No, I'd definitely say that it's not normal. Noise reduction does reduce sharpness and image quality - so I think of it as more of a limited use tool for extreme cases. The noise that you're seeing, is it actually visible in prints? It's hard to judge on the small image... maybe post a 100% crop if you're thinking you may have an equipment problem?

This was using the 24-70 F2.8L as well..
