A few selected pics from my day at goodwood 2007.

my 30D is once again being fixed by canon uk (not a happy bunny) but fortunately my sister lent me her 5D for the day.

those who were there will know the light at times was shocking, but all good fun.

i think the fact that the focusing system is working on the 5D unlike my 30D helped an awful lot.

minor PP as you expect from me, auto levels and tiny bit of unsharp mask (although tbh dont think most needed it i was just being causious)

didnt get as much done as i wanted, as its just bloody hard to get the hillclimb action from nice spots, so spent more time in the forest

aye know what you mean

the FoS is an event you probably need to spend two days at if you want loads of variety in your pics...

lol thanks! its just practice, a few weekends ago they were not sharp atall (ok camera was faulty but even so) You just need to get to grips with them.

I have found that the new lens i bought 70-200 f2.8 IS L helped, but thats because my only other lens didnt give me any focal range to do motorsport images.

I still feel the pics are not as sharp and crisp as id like.

just keep praciticing is the order of the day

A lot better, did you have the extra focus points activated in the custom function as they do help a LOT in ai servo. But what do I know, my name isn't Jak.

i just used center focus point. I didnt use any custom functions as its my sisters camera and i dont want to go activating different settings and forget to remove them.

She probably has them switched on anyway, if you looked at the shots on the rear screen you would have seen the extra focus points highlights in red around the center point.
