but because of a bunch of quirky things I keep feeling I should wait until a few more final release versions before it would be worth the effort in developing a newer workflow.

It's still slow...yes, it is a bit faster than the beta versions but even with 2gb of ram sliders still don't move smoothly some of the time, in fact a lot of the controls are jumpy at times.

Earlier in the week I was attempting to export some slideshows as pdf's..thought everything was going smoothly until I checked each page of the file and I got blank gray pages, some with a red line going diagonally and some with text that said "out of memory"...it's just a freakin 25mb PDF!!!!!!

Another thing I have been experimenting with all day today was exporting for web, and wow it takes forever for it to build even the simplest html gallery. Initially I built a flash gallery seemed to work locally but once I uploaded it to my server, low and behold, none of the images I waited an hour to export and upload were showing up....anyone care to explain why that might be?

Adobe, oh Adobe, please release an update!

I am in the same boat. I really want to like it. I got a free version 1.0. I tried aperture several months ago (I use a mac) and liked it more than LR. Now this delay in updating such that I cannot process RAWs from my Mark III (I do not want to convert them the DNG, it's my choice). I know Adobe does not care but they are about to lose another customer.

Well my LR experience installed on a P4 3.0 GHz processor + 1 gig RAM was kinda iffy and the sliders didn't work smoothly.

Now my second attempt installed on a Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz + 2 gigs RAM and I must say it runs rather smoothly this time around.

One thing though as the more I use ACR 4.1 in CS3 the more I find myself getting away from LR.

I love LR, it's my software of choice. I'm running vista 32bit and not aproblem here.

It did take me a little while to get used to it and once I did I can zip through my workflow in a short time
